EmpowerFit Youth Boys Program
We are excited to have your son be a part of the Empowerfit Youth Boys Program by the OJ Macklin Foundation at Club Elevation. The EmpowerFit Youth program is an afterschool initiative that provides fitness training, wellness-centered activities and educational sessions focused on the topics listed below.
Physical Fitness
In light of the rising rates of obesity and fluctuating self-esteem among youth, it is essential to prioritize physical fitness and exercise to help boys build strong, healthy bodies, boost their confidence, and empower them as they transition into adulthood.
Mental Health Awareness
Mental health awareness is critically important for youth boys living in impoverished neighborhoods and high-crime areas, as it helps them recognize and address the emotional challenges stemming from their environment, fostering resilience and equipping them with essential coping skills to navigate adversity and break the cycle of trauma.
Financial Literacy
Financial literacy is essential for our youth, as it not only equips them with the skills to manage their own finances but also enables them to share valuable knowledge with their parents, guardians, or older siblings, potentially transforming their family's financial awareness and creating a pathway for greater economic stability.
Nutrition
Understanding nutrition is vital as it equips youth with the knowledge of how the foods they consume can either nourish and energize their bodies or contribute to long-term health issues, ultimately influencing their physical performance and overall well-being as they grow into adulthood.
Self-esteem & Awareness
For youth boys cultivating high self-esteem and self-awareness is crucial, as it empowers them to recognize their worth, make positive choices, and resist negative influences, ultimately fostering a sense of agency and hope for a brighter future.
